American Shootist LLC is located in Anchorage Alaska. Founder John Paff began American Shootist LLC just after retiring from the Alaska Air National Guard in 2006. John spent 15 of his 20 years of service as an Air Force Pararescueman; today he currently works as an Engineer/Paramedic with the Anchorage Fire Department. John’s passion for shooting sports combined with his tactical background culminated the desire to establish American Shootist LLC. ASLLC understands the trending decline in polite, knowledgeable sales people frequently found in many “Big Box” and “Snob Shop” stores, and it is our goal to provide you with unparalleled customer service while outfitting you for your sporting and personal protection needs.

American Shootist LLC is currently and has been a licensed Federal Firearms Dealer (FFL) since 2007. We are engaged in the business of buying and selling firearms, personal protection equipment, and sporting goods. We are a certified armorer for Bushmaster & Glock Firearms and offer a variety of training classes to meet your specific needs.
Firearms Transfers
In the event we don’t have what your looking for, moving/traveling to or from Alaska, or just plain found the deal of the century on a used firearm… ASLLC will be happy to assist you in the legal transfer of your firearm(s) with the following fee schedule: Each firearm is considered a transfer, each transfer fee is $25. ASLLC offers ONE free transfer per Active Duty, Guard/Reserve , and Retired military personel for their commitment and sacrifices to keep our nation, under GOD, FREE.
Note: We do not provide copies of our FFL to non-licensed individuals. Please provide your merchant with our contact information, or provide us with theirs, and we will arrange for exchange of FFL information.
